GroupM: Colorintech
Colorintech (CIT) is Europe's premier not-for-profit organisation connecting underrepresented Black talent to opportunities in tech. This partnership enhances and scales WPP’s outreach to diverse, hard-to-reach audiences of Black talent in tech in the UK, EMEA and West Africa.
Co-created in partnership with CIT, The Update programme brings innovation to leadership development, by providing a structured learning experience for a select group of tech professionals. Together, those emerging leaders receive insight into WPP’s philosophy, people, products and culture through a series of engaging masterclasses, visionary presentations plus tailored one-to-one career support from WPP’s talent teams and mentors.
The first iteration of The Update mobilised in early 2022 with a suite of creative assets developed by Ogilvy and an associated LinkedIn recruitment campaign supported by senior leadership. After a short period of application and selection, the programme launched in May. Curated by WPP in the UK and supported by a number of WPP agencies, 40 tech professionals took part in the programme and attended a variety of masterclasses run by tech leaders across the WPP network. With a range of topics covered, from AI to the metaverse, The Update provided an opportunity for talented tech professionals to deep dive into the opportunities at WPP and the sector as a whole.
